Coppa Club are an expanding brand which have a host of venues located from Central London to the Berkshire Countryside. Although each venue is unique in its design the company ensures the ethos of effortless hospitality and relaxation is maintained within each of its venues.
The sites have a broad capacity to fulfil an array of hospitality requirements, including dining, events, and accommodation. The Great House, which is the brands’ original Clubhouse is in the stunning area of Sonning. Located next to the river, its idyllic country setting makes the venue extremely popular and therefore refurbishment projects can be extremely challenging.
The clubhouse contains a large kitchen, and concerns were raised about the condition of the failing vinyl. Although the floor needed to be refurbished the venue was reluctant to close the restaurant. Aware of their experience within the hospitality sector, RESYN were approached to provide a resin kitchen floor solution that would ensure the venue could remain trading.
Following consultations, RESYN proposed the Degafloor FB System and combined this with an installation programme specifically designed to avoid the closure of the restaurant. All works to the new resin kitchen floor were completed overnight in phases and due to the products FAST CURING nature the kitchen remained operational for service the following day.
Each phase included the removal of the kitchen equipment and the existing vinyl finish. A scrape coat, with a reinforcing membrane-embedded, was applied over the existing tiles to remove the grout lines and increase the tensile strength of the system before the Degafloor FB System was installed. Degafloor resins were chosen as they are FULLY CURED within just 2 hours of installation and are perfect for resin kitchen floor projects.
Resin kitchen floors are typically seamless and impermeable which creates an extremely hygienic solution, with reduced maintenance, making it ideal for commercial kitchen environments. The Degafloor FB system also provides excellent levels of slip resistance which offered peace of mind and confidence in its suitability in terms of health and safety.
Everyone involved with the project was delighted with the installation and how the works were carried out with minimal disruption to the venue.
