RESYN has installed in excess of 1500 sq meters of the Degafloor FB system into various IKEA stores across the UK.
Typical installation areas include the kitchen, food preparation and kitchen storage areas.
Installations to date have been IKEA Cardiff, Nottingham, Edmonton, Milton Keynes, Coventry and Belfast.
IKEA had specific requirements due to previous failures of floor finishes. RESYN assessed these requirements and provided a solution that matched IKEA’s specifications already.
Slip resistance was required due to the nature of the areas that were being refurbished. However, IKEA had experienced problems with water penetration and needed a durable system with integrated slip resistance. The seamless Degafloor FB system presented the perfect solution.
IKEA’s UK Construction Manager, Steve Batley added, “RESYN worked closely with us to provide a flooring solution that exactly matched our specifications. Other types of flooring have failed us in the past at other stores but Degafloor doesn’t have the same weaknesses.”
