Installation requirements

Newborough Cricket Club is a friendly, community-focused village club that plays an important role in local sport and social life. Like many grassroots sporting organisations, the club is maintained through the dedication of volunteers and the support of local businesses, with a strong emphasis on providing welcoming, well-kept facilities for players and visitors.

When the club identified the need to upgrade its toilet facilities, they contacted local contractor JD Carter for advice. Having worked on successful projects in the past, JD Carter approached RESYN for a hardwearing flooring solution. Since this project was based in the local community, RESYN volunteered to complete the installation as part of a community initiative and invited sister company, Degafloor, to contribute the materials.

Why RESYN?

The existing toilet areas featured tiled flooring which had become dated over time and required full replacement. In addition to their worn appearance, the grout lines presented ongoing maintenance challenges and made it difficult to clean.

Following the initial survey, our Technical sales manager, Alex Forrester, recommended the 4mm Degafloor Flake system with the additional of a polymer bead finish. This system was chosen for its hygienic, seamless finish and fast-curing time, making it particularly well suited for washroom environments in a busy sports facility. The addition of polymer bead within the sealcoat provided a subtle textured surface, improving slip resistance underfoot.

Careful planning and coordination with JD Carter ensured the works were completed efficiently, with minimal disruption to the club’s activities.

The completed works have transformed the welfare facilities at Newborough Cricket Club, providing a modern, durable, and hygienic flooring solution that will support the club for years to come. The project reflects RESYN’s strong commitment to supporting local organisations and delivering high-quality resin flooring solutions.
