Why RESYN?

The existing epoxy flooring had suffered significant wear and tear due to constant foot traffic and heavy equipment, typical of a busy kitchen environment. As a result, a full flooring replacement was required to improve safety, hygiene, and long-term durability.

Following a detailed site survey carried out by our Technical Sales Manager, Alex Forrester, RESYN specified and installed the Degafloor FB system. This MMA flooring solution is well suited to commercial kitchens offering excellent durability, slip resistance, and hygiene benefits. The Degafloor FB system was selected not only for its durability and performance, but also for its rapid curing time. The system cures fully in approximately two hours, allowing areas to be returned to service quickly once installation is complete.

As part of RESYN’s turnkey service offering, all preparatory works were fully coordinated and managed within the scope of the package. This encompassed the removal and reinstatement of kitchen equipment, provision of skips, and the complete removal of the existing epoxy floor finish, ensuring the flooring works progressed efficiently and without delay.

The works were carried out during Butlin’s scheduled January mid-week shutdown to prevent disruption to resort operations. To meet the tight programme and coordinate efficiently with other on-site contractors, RESYN deployed two installation teams working in back-to-back shifts.

This structured approach ensured completion within the allocated timeframe, allowing the kitchen to be fully operational ahead of reopening.
