RESYN Flooring Installation at Heathfield Fire Station

Heathfield Fire Station

Fire Service

Installation requirements

Heathfield Fire Station had a number of floor finishes over the years that were not
proving durable enough under heavy loads. Being a fast paced environment the risk of slips and trips are fairly high, therefore a slip resistant finish was required.

A key requirement instructed by East Sussex Fire and Rescue was that the installation had to be completed with minimal disruption. Being one of the emergency services, disruption to daily routines could have severe consequences; therefore it was vital that a swift and efficient installation was
maintained.

Why RESYN?

Having discussed their requirements RESYN specified the Degafloor FB system. The system provides outstanding durability and slip resistance, which were two of the requirements high on the list of priorities. The installation, which was completed within 2 days, also ensured there was minimal disruption to their daily operations.

Following the success of the installation, RESYN were called back to complete another Fire Station in the area and subsequently have been asked for advice from other fire Authorities.

Colin Thompson, Estates Manager, East Sussex Fire Brigade commented, “All works were completed well and with minimal disruption. The team was very professional and the floor works extremely well under the working conditions.”
