Polyurethane (PU) flexible resin flooring is a high-performance flooring system designed for environments where durability, comfort, and resilience are essential. Unlike rigid resin systems, flexible polyurethane flooring absorbs movement, resists cracking, and delivers long-term performance in demanding conditions.

It is designed to withstand thermal movement, substrate flexing, and heavy use. Its unique flexibility makes it ideal for areas exposed to temperature fluctuations, vibration, or mechanical stress—where traditional rigid floors may fail. Excellent heat resistance

Unlike many other resin flooring systems, a significant advantage of PU flooring is its outstanding resistance to high temperatures and direct heat, therefore they are well suited to a wide range of food and drink manufacturing outlets.

Industrial PU flooring can tolerate up to approximately +120 °C in service without softening or losing critical mechanical properties. The temperature range is generated from the formulation and thickness. To achieve resistance of these higher temperatures the floor would need to be installed at 9mm.

There are some high-end technical resin floors that offer resistance between 130°C – 150 °C when installed at 12mm and dependant on frequency of exposure.
